The Plain of Jars

The major attraction of the province is the Plain of Jars. About 300 of these jars are scattered around the plains of Phone Savanh, in different sites, about 12 km from town.
The origin of these jars is still mysterious. They are assumed to be 2000 years old but
it is unknown by whom they were constructed and what their purpose was.

Services

The owner of the guesthouse, Kong Keo Phontaborivat, speaks fluently English and organises excursions, not only to different sites of the Plain of Jars, but also to other
places. He also arranges visits to Hmong villages.
